We know, we know... who hasn't heard of them? Still, we find it important to mention. We were checking out a lot of online shops both in Greece and in Poland and when it comes to reliability, wide choices and prices, they do win. If you don't need to buy in bulk, we do recoomend supporting your local petshop, but if your're buying litter or dry food by the ton like us, go there.
Speaking of the local petshopps, this is ours. Very close to our home, our colony. Friendly owner who too owns cats and is always recommending good products and says if something is currently on promo.
Another local shop: pet pharmacy. In Poland we were used to buying all the meds directly from the vets' office. In Greece we just go here.

They were the first clinic we started visiting after our move to Athens, simply because they are the closest to our place. We are very happy with them, their engagement, the helpfulness and also with the fact, they're not afraid to recommed a different place if something is not their area of expertise.

This clinic was in fact recommended to us by the Vet Surgery's doctor when one of our cats was struggling w IBD. They have amazing stuff of doctors, trained in the best universities as far as in Texas, USA. Most of the doctors speak perfect English which is important to us since we're only learning Greek. They do all kinds of examinations which smaller clinics don't. Only downside is they are so good, they're booked all the time.

The best veterinarian we had the pleasure to work with in Athens. She's the main one taking care of our strays. She has a vast knowledge, is very responsive, helpful and, most important, she truly loves and cares for the animals. Also, she's not scared to work with difficult strays. When we brough our first Mama for the sterilization, furious cat gave us a show when we were moving her from our kennel to clinic's cage. Yet, dr Maria managed to deal with her. There are also 2 beautiful healthy cats living in the clinic.

The best veterinarian we had the pleasure to work ever. When we first went there with our cats, they were the hot mess. The doctors educated us, made sure all our cats are in good shape and provided wonderful care for them for many years in Warsaw before we moved to Greece. They are also amazing human beings, who care deeply about their patients.
